Product Description

Expand Your Store’s Eco-Friendly Finishing Line with RMP Finishes Soapstone Sealer

Give your retail customers, contractors, and stone fabricators a superior alternative to traditional stone care. RMP Finishes Soapstone Sealer is an all-natural, premium treatment specifically engineered to enhance and protect soapstone, slate, concrete, honed granite, and recycled paper composite surfaces.

Unlike traditional mineral oils that never dry, wash away, and require constant reapplication, our advanced natural formula features a drying oil base that permanently polymerizes. It delivers a rich, deep, low-luster finish that locks out moisture and stains without creating a sticky, tacky residue. It’s an essential, shelf-ready addition for hardware stores, woodworking shops, kitchen showrooms, and natural stone distributors.

Our proprietary blend is built for safety and performance, relying entirely on nature’s hardest defenses rather than harsh petroleum synthetics:

  • Pure Walnut Oil Base: A natural drying oil that takes in oxygen to polymerize and fully cure. Because it cures, it will never go rancid, migrate, or wash away with dish soap.
  • Premium T-1 Carnauba Wax: Sourced from palm tree leaves, carnauba is the hardest natural wax known. It forms a durable, water-resistant barrier against daily kitchen wear.
  • 100% Solvent and VOC Free: With absolutely zero VOCs or added fragrances, this sealer is completely non-toxic and ideal for enclosed indoor applications.
  • Food-Contact Safe: Formulated exclusively with food-grade ingredients, making it completely safe for direct food contact on kitchen islands, butcher blocks, concrete countertops, and more.

When stocking your shelves, your customers deserve a product that actually solves their pain points. Here is how our premium sealer outpaces the old industry standard:

  • 4 oz. Can: Ideal for small DIY projects, accents, charcuterie boards, and sample trials. (Covers approx. 50 sq. ft.)
  • 8 oz. Can: The perfect retail-ready size for standard kitchen countertops and backsplashes. (Covers approx. 100 sq. ft.)
  • 16 oz. Can: Geared toward professional fabricators, installers, contractors, and large-scale residential projects. (Covers approx. 200 sq. ft.)
  1. Ensure the stone countertop or surface is clean, completely unfinished, honed, and absorbent. If previously coated with mineral oil, it must be thoroughly stripped using hot water and mild dish soap or RMP Finishes Citrus Solvent before application. Let dry completely.
  2. Scoop a small amount of Soapstone Sealer onto a lint-free cotton cloth or hand pad. Rub it into the surface using thin, circular motions until evenly distributed. Allow it to sit and penetrate for 15–30 minutes.
  3. Wipe away any excess sealer firmly with a clean, dry cloth to ensure a smooth, even, non-tacky surface.
  4. Allow the surface to sit overnight. The product requires 5–7 days of light use to establish initial water resistance, reaching a full, deep cure within 10–15 days. (For soapstone sinks and high-moisture basins, allow the full 10–15 day cure time before exposing to standing water).

Maintenance: Instruct end-users to clean exclusively with mild soap and water. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners or heavy acids. Reapply in heavy-use zones as needed.
